Educational workshops and exhibition

This educational workshop was organized by St. Thomas’ College, Kotte on the basis of the little hand foundation and the generous donations made by Sri Lankan and foreign donors.

All the students, teachers of St. Thomas’ College, as well as selected students from all the surrounding schools were invited to explain the importance of this and the benefits to the country and the benefits of innovations, and the satisfaction, they get from it.

The keynote speaker at the workshop was Deshabandu. Saman Hettiarachchi, Founder of Little Hand Foundation, is an Inventor who holds 27 International patents in Sri Lanka.

Special features of this educational workshop and exhibition were,

  • How to make drawing colors with tree leaves, bark, roots, and natural pigments instead of artificial pigments
  • How to create a new product and how to solve the problems that arise? The self-confidence that comes with it
  • Building children’s confidence in practical skills in addition to book knowledge.

We were able to conclude this day-long workshop with great success. At the end of the day, we donated essential books, pens, and pencils to all the children who came.

The teachers, parents, and children were very happy and appreciative of this.

We are especially grateful to the ladies and gentlemen of our staff who worked hard for this and to all the people around the world who have helped us to make this workshop a success.
