Water Supplying by Filtered Water Wells for Kidney disease infected areas of Sri Lanka
Our country is a very poor third-world country. There are a large number of families who make a living from agriculture. In recent times, the use of various agrochemicals in our country has led to the spread of kidney diseases as well as other diseases. As a result, both parents and children in the community living in the interior of the country have fallen victim to the disease. The primary objective of the Little Hand Foundation is to initiate a program to secure the future and environment of young children in education.
Kidney disease is one of the most dangerous diseases caused by the use of dirty water. Because of this, we have already begun to lay the groundwork for the well water purification process being implemented by our Little Hand Foundation. For this purpose, we have selected areas where kidney disease is prevalent in Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Vavuniya, Monaragala, Wellawaya, Hambantota, Mullaitivu, and Batticaloa. What is happening here is that the non-potable wells in those areas are being cleaned again and made drinkable. The people of this country as well as foreigners have contributed a lot to us in this virtuous process. Manpower is required to obtain the required raw materials; they have given us financial assistance. Also, during the project, scholarships will be given to the children of the families of the families affected by the kidney disease, and the provision of medical and hygiene requirements to the persons with kidney disease is another specialty of this project.
We have an international patent for this project and quality control reports from the Sri Lanka Institute of Industrial Technology (ITI) for the quality of purified water. The project has also won the Dasis Award, the highest award available in Sri Lanka for a project, and a number of international awards.
“The main objective of this project is to contribute to the eradication of kidney disease in Sri Lanka by constructing 100,000 clean drinking wells in those areas to eradicate this dangerous kidney disease which has spread in Sri Lanka.”
This can only be done by your comrades who look at it with a humane feeling. Children who are left destitute by their parents due to kidney disease often drop out of school and choose hired labor and prostitution for their livelihood, to keep their parents alive. But this destruction is going on in the hope of our own children, this cannot be allowed because they are the future of this country. We invite you to contribute to this and give them a clean sip of water.
